Millhart Family Lodge & Rec Center offers a unique combination of overnight lodging and event space in the heart of Ohio’s Amish Country near Sugarcreek, Ohio. Perfect for family reunions, birthday celebrations, graduation parties, holiday gatherings, church retreats, and special occasions, the property allows groups to stay and celebrate together in one convenient location.
The climate-controlled recreation center can accommodate up to 75 guests for approved daytime events and gatherings. Tables and chairs are available on-site, making planning simple and convenient. Whether you’re bringing together family members from across the country or celebrating a special milestone with friends, Millhart provides the space, flexibility, and recreation amenities to create lasting memories.

Guests have access to the gym, game room, living space and designated outdoor spaces. There is another home on the property, please respect their privacy and do not play in their yard. Part of the building is a barn on the lower level. Those spaces are not for guest use, are not pictured in any of the indoor spaces and are locked.
We are located 1 mile north of Sugarcreek off State Route 93, a 15-minute drive to the Berlin and Walnut Creek area, famous for Amish Country Shopping, but out of the high congestion area with fast access to Dover and New Philadelphia. Multiple breweries and wineries are less than 15-minute drive.
Norma Johnson Center and Dundee Falls are both great family hiking location less than 10-minute drive from us.
Millhart Family Lodge is located just 2 miles from downtown Sugarcreek with multiple dining options including Bags Restaurant & Park Street Pizza (delivery available) plus the World’s Largest Cuckoo Clock! See the German figurines play every 30 minutes (weather permitting).
In town for a wedding at one of our local venues in Sugarcreek, Millersburg, Dover or New Philadelphia? We are a 15-30 minute drive from many venues, let us know which one you are attending and we can give you mileage and time to that location.
We are not on the premises, but the host and homeowners are available and nearby if needed.

We utilize a security system with automatic smoke & carbon monoxide detectors for your safety.
2 exterior Security cameras with audio monitor and record activity in the parking area and fire pit area.
Small well-trained dogs are permitted with advance notice and permission. Pet fee of $150/dog, per stay. Limited to 2 dogs that already know each other. Dogs must be leashed outside.
